1. Acceptance of Terms

Welcome to the website of Will Murray & Associates Criminal Defence Professional Corporation ("we," "us," "our," or the "Firm"). By accessing or using this website (the "Site"), you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms of Use. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use this Site.

2. No Solicitor-Client Relationship

IMPORTANT: Your use of this Site, including any communication with the Firm through this Site, does not create a solicitor-client relationship between you and the Firm or any of its lawyers. A solicitor-client relationship will only be established after:

  • You have contacted us to request legal services;
  • We have conducted a conflicts check and assessed our ability to represent you;
  • We have confirmed our acceptance of the engagement in writing;
  • We have entered into a formal retainer agreement; and
  • You have agreed to the terms of the retainer.

Do not send us any confidential information until a solicitor-client relationship has been formally established.

3. Not Legal Advice

The content on this Site is provided for general informational purposes only and is not intended to constitute legal advice. The information on this Site:

  • Should not be relied upon as legal advice for any specific situation;
  • May not reflect the most current legal developments;

  • May not be applicable to your particular legal matter.

Do not act or refrain from acting based solely on information found on this Site without first consulting with a qualified legal professional.

The law varies by jurisdiction and changes over time. Legal advice can only be provided after a careful review of your specific facts and circumstances.

4. Prospective Client Inquiries

If you are considering retaining the Firm, please be aware that we must assess various factors before accepting any engagement, including:

  • Whether there are any conflicts of interest that would prevent us from acting;
  • Whether we have the necessary expertise and competence for your matter;
  • Whether we can complete the required work in a timely manner; and
  • For matters involving paralegals, whether the matter falls within the permitted scope of practice for      paralegals in Ontario.

We reserve the right to decline any retainer in our sole discretion. Submitting an inquiry through this Site does not obligate the Firm to accept you as a client.

5. Confidentiality and Email Communication

IMPORTANT NOTICE ABOUT EMAIL SECURITY: Email communication is not a secure method of communication. There are inherent risks to confidentiality when communicating via email, including but not limited to:

  • Interception by third parties;
  • Misdirection to unintended recipients;

  • Retention of emails on servers; and
  • Forwarding without authorization.

By sending us an email, you acknowledge and accept these risks. If you need to communicate highly sensitive information, please contact us to arrange a more secure method of communication.

We are not responsible for any breach of confidentiality that occurs during email transmission, nor can we guarantee the security or confidentiality of information transmitted by email.

6. No Guarantee of Results

Nothing on this Site should be interpreted as a promise or guarantee regarding the outcome of any legal matter. Every legal situation is unique, and past results do not guarantee future outcomes.
