We live in a heavily regulated society. The province can charge you for breaking rules that govern various activities, from selling tobacco to installing fire equipment. Convictions can bring fines and threaten your ability to earn a living. We have represented many clients charged with these types of offences. In preparing your defence, we look at your business and work with you to identify what steps you took to keep members of the public safe, to show how you were duly diligent.

We can provide you with advice and representation if you are charged with any regulatory offence, such as those under the Smoke-Free Ontario Act, the Ontario Fire Code, the Occupational Health and Safety Act, and the Liquor Licence Act of Ontario.
